As the garden settles into its quiet early winter stillness, join floral and textile artist Clare Robinson for a day of relaxed and therapeutic sketching, inspired by the faded beauty of dried stems and foliage gathered from our organic garden.
Using graphite pencils, watercolour pencils and black pen, Clare will guide you through the art of observational sketching, helping you capture the delicate textures, subtle tones and quiet elegance of the season. Beginning with the fundamentals, she will demonstrate techniques throughout the day and offer generous one-on-one guidance to help you develop your own expressive style, whatever your starting point.
By the end of the day you will have created your own original artwork to take home, alongside the skills and confidence to keep drawing long after you leave.
Your workshop will take place in our Library, before moving through to the Study for our signature Afternoon Tea. A wonderful opportunity to relax and share your creations with new-found friends.
