Loose Style Watercolour Workshop  I had the pleasure of teaching a very talented group at Easter Logie studios, Blairgowrie Perthshire. A group of artists who regularly meet every week to hone their artistic skills. We explored loose style painting using watercolour. Experimenting with colour, scale. Surrounding by such beautiful countryside you can't help be but inspired.  

Botanical Artistry – Skills and Techniques Course  Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh This has been a great five week course that I was taking at the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh. Discovering big blooms such as vintage roses and hydrangeas, also using the fabulous seasonal flowers from the RBGE gardens. Students were exploring loose style watercolour technique, experimenting with techniques as wet into wet, crisp and faded edges, different types of brushwork and how to apply layers of tints and shades. The sessions were about being expressive, creative and spontaneous!
